What is unposed photography?

  • Although some may believe unposed photography means you get to the session, run around, hug, and the photographer captures the moment. To be quite honest, it is very different. Some tend to mistake “unposed” for what is called “photojournalism”. Photojournalism is completely raw — meaning there are no directions given. However, during an unposed session (what I offer), as I capture your natural moments, I will have to place you in good light or give you little direction. There may be a collection of prompts and games used to get you and your family to connect to and forget about the camera - in return, that will allow me to give you authentic images filled with natural movements, real expressions and genuine emotions.

  • If you are one that finds posing to be a challenge, this style of photography may be right for you. By using the prompts and games that I use, I will work hard to get you out of your shell and make photographing you and your family fun and easy. By using the unposed method, you never have to ask me, “what should I do with my hands?”. Instead, you will leave the session excited about the fun and memorable experience you just had.

What areas of the metro Atlanta area do you serve?

  • I serve the city of Atlanta and its surrounding areas - Cherokee County, Clayton County, Cobb County, Dekalb County, Douglas County, Fayette County, Fulton County, Gwinnett County, and Paulding County. Nonetheless, I can travel to clients to other locations - just contact me.

How Can I Book Session?

  • A consult will take place prior to your session, either over the phone, in-person, through e-mail, questionnaire or via video conference. Majority of sessions will either be on-location at the studio (located in Powder Springs, GA) or outdoors. Fresh-48, lifestyle newborn, and birth sessions are normally taken at the client’s home, birthing center or hospital. Elopements and weddings are normally taken at the courthouse, wedding chapel, church, or wedding venue. Cake smash sessions will always be at the studio unless the client would like an outdoor session.

If the contract is accepted, the quote will turn into an invoice. Once the contract / model release has been signed, Simply Claudia Portraits will countersign and both parties will have an electronic copy. The client and Simply Claudia Portraits will have an electronic copy of the contract and model release with both signatures that outlines the agreement between both parties.

  • Simply Claudia Portraits will take the photographs, choose the best pictures from the session. Simply Claudia Portraits will edit the images. The client will come back to the studio for a viewing session. The client will make final choices on the images s/he would like to purchase based on the agreed/signed contract and invoice. Once final selections have been made the images cannot be substituted or exchanged for a different image. Final online gallery will be sent to the client. Additional images/prints/products may be purchased for an additional fee per digital image or upgrade to the next package. Online galleries are only available for 14-days.  After 14-days, the gallery will be removed.
